Interpreter’s Report 2010

  1. NCP is being prepared to be offered to all areas. All officials will be reclassified.
  2. Application of grant money was approved by the N.S. Sports Fund to help with the implementation of the NCP and the training of officials.
  3. The Interpreter’s Office presented educational clinics in six areas this past winter.
  4. Continuing upgrades were available on our web site.
  5. Our referees were provided with a better quality shirt. (Improved neckline and material)
  6. I provided an “Ask the Interpreter” segment to all area supervisors. This was beneficial in helping with our exam.
  7. Collection of dues and exam data were completed in a much more timely fashion this year.
  8. I shared ideas with U.S. education officers. Monthly quizzes are a good idea along with advancing young officials as quickly as possible.
  9. Partnership with BNS has been terrific. Liam Blanchard was a great force in helping us to secure grant funds.
  10. For officials to advance in our province, it is important for them to attend clinics, know the rules and be fit.

Interpreter,
