Interpreter’s Report
2010
- NCP is being prepared to be
offered to all areas. All officials will be reclassified.
- Application of grant money was
approved by the N.S. Sports Fund to help with the implementation of the NCP
and the training of officials.
- The Interpreter’s Office
presented educational clinics in six areas this past winter.
- Continuing upgrades were
available on our web site.
- Our referees were provided with
a better quality shirt. (Improved neckline and material)
- I provided an “Ask the
Interpreter” segment to all area supervisors. This was beneficial in helping
with our exam.
- Collection of dues and exam data
were completed in a much more timely fashion this year.
- I shared ideas with U.S.
education officers. Monthly quizzes are a good idea along with advancing
young officials as quickly as possible.
- Partnership with BNS has been
terrific. Liam Blanchard was a great force in helping us to secure grant
funds.
- For officials to advance in our
province, it is important for them to attend clinics, know the rules and be
fit.
